9 days out from the last yearling sale of the season Nutrien Equine’s Melbourne Sale at Oaklands Junction on April 14.

The sale will feature the crops of first-year sires on the pacing side the US two and three-year-old Pacer of the Year, Tall Dark Stranger is represented by 6 colts & 2 fillies.

Alabar’s Ride High a son of Art Major, won 16 of his 18 starts including the Australasian Breeders Crown. He has 3 colts a gelding and 4 fillies in his draft.

Nutrien’s Mark Barton described the square trotting yearlings catalogued in the sale, as the strongest he has seen in the three years that Nutrien has conducted yearling sales in the country. “We have 69 trotters in the catalogue with outstanding pedigrees” Barton told Scoring Up Podcast

The first crop of champion French stallion Classic Connection has vendors excited, the son of Love You has 6 colts and 5 fillies to go under the hammer.

Dual Group 1 winner Elite Stride who won the Need For Speed and NSW Trotters Derby as a three-year-old is represented by 3 colts and 2 fillies.

Yabby Dam Farm Always Ready won the Group 1 Vicbred Super Series and was crowned Australian two-year-old colt && gelding of his year has 2 colts catalogued while Eridan a son of Ready Cash has a filly that is half-sister to Always Ready.
