Shane Hawes continued support of Tassie sale.

Lilydale (Tasmania) breeder Shane Hawes has been a staunch supporter of Tasmanian yearling Sale since its resurrection, Hawes bred Sundays Danbury Park winner Mickey Oh, who he sold at the 2020 sale for $16,000 has now notched up over $150,000 in prize money.

Hawes has three yearlings catalogued for the 2024 sale heading the list is a gelding by first season sire Capt. Midnight out of former top race mare Karalta Crown ($128,351), a Group winner herself, and who has left smart performers in Karalta Dazzler 2:00.6 ($226,346), Rockandhardplace ($134,786 to date)  and Ideal Karalta (12 wins).

Hawes has another gelding catalogued by 2017 US two-year-old of the year Stay Hungry out of 10-time winner Angela De Marco who has already left a winner in De Marco Beach.

A filly by Ultimate Machete from an unraced Artsplace mare Glenrowan Bonnie, closely related to Black Line the Australian two-year-old colt & gelding of his year.

In 2024 Nutrien Standardbred will conduct the sale to be held at Carrick Park on Australia Day.
