Nyack which means “Never Give Up” in African has been voted Launceston Pacing Club Horse of the Year.
Nyack a four-year-old by Sweet Lous out of Benediction (Bettors Delight), claimed the Evicus as a two-year-old and the Hobart Pacing Club and finished with $161,235 in prizemoney.
Nyack’s second dam is Queen Carey (by Walton Hanover) the dam of Devendra 29 wins,
Nyack won 8 of his 13 starts as a three-year-old season culminating in the Globe Derby (Tasmanian Sire Stakes). He also included a win in the Tasmanian Guineas and was runner-up in the Tasmania Derby.
Bred by Rattray family Trust along with Lyndon and Deborah Dakin. Nyack this season is eligible for the Raider Stakes and Tasracing’s Eureka qualification race, the Beautide.
No doubt Nyack will take beating in the State award for three-year-old of the year.
