TOUGH TILLY RETIRED.

 A date with Tall Dark Stranger awaits Vicbred and Breeders Crown champion, Tough Tilly, who has now been retired.

Bred and owned by Benstud Standardbreds, the Captaintreacherous mare won seventeen races and $618,333 in stakes.

AUSTRALIA’S FIRST SUB 1:50 TWO-YEAR-OLD

 Lux Aeterna, a daughter of Captaintreacherous, became the fastest two-year-old in Australasian history when she blitzed her rivals in the NSW Breeders Challenge at Menangle last week recording 1:49.9 for the 1609 metres.

Lux Aeterna is out of the Jereme’s Jet mare The Arch Nemesis, who herself took a record of 1:55.4.

BIG WEEK FOR ULTIMATE MACHETE.

Ultimate Machete sired his first classic winner when two-year-old filly Miss Idaho took out the $25,000 Alabar Golden Nursery at Globe Derby Park.

Miss Idaho is out of the Courage Under Fire mare Golden Valour, who is also the dam of Alcatraz Girl (1:57.8). 

A week later his son Smooth Machete (pictured below) was successful in the Dandy Patch Final for 2-year-old colts & geldings in Hobart.

 

SWAYZEE HEADS TO NZ CUP.

The real race that stops two nations is just over a week away the NZ Trotting Cup on November 14 and Swayzee will be the lone Aussie flag bearer, Owners headed by  Leeton businessman Michael Boots, will be hoping to bring home some Kiwi cash.

Swayzee by Rock N Roll Hanover out of Lettucereason, is unbeaten in eight starts since joining Grimson’s stable, including the Group 1 Blacks A Fake back in July.
